Emer O`Callaghan holds a Law Degree from University College Cork and a Masters Degree in Health & Safety Law and Environmental Law. Emer maintains a general practice for her private and commercial clients, providing all legal services and advice for their personal and commercial transactions.

In addition to her general practice, Emer specialises in the area of Employment Law & Occupational Injury, representing employers and employees nationwide in personal injury claims and industrial relations matters before all Courts including the Labour Court, the Rights Commissioner, Employment Appeals Tribunal and Equality Tribunal. Emer also acts as an Independent Workplace Investigator and Appeals Adjudicator and is a CEDR (Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution) Accredited Mediator with a special interest in resolving workplace conflict specialising, in the area of stress, bullying and harassment at work.

Emer is a member of the Institute of Occupational Health & Safety Practitioners (IOSH) and served as a Committee Member for IOSH Ireland South District. She is a regular conference speaker for groups such as, CIPD, Skillsnet, The Health & Safety Review, Junior Chamber of Commerce, IOSH, The Chartered Accountants Cork Society and LGMA Emer provides in house training in a wide range of Employment Law and Health & Safety related areas to the public and private sector. She is also a Lecturer and Examiner for the Law Society of Ireland and a Co-Author of the Oxford University Press Employment Law Manual (3rd & 4th editions).

In her free time, Emer has travelled overseas with Habitat for Humanity and served as the Group Leader for Cork City Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Programme.
